10 things you did not know about artists

A common trait of artists is their zeal and compassion on materials that may not be of great deal to others. Here are 10 truths you should know about artists

1) Being passionate is in their blood

Artists have an unconditional passion towards their work that grows through the roots of their mind and soul. Having said that, they are bound to share this elated spirit with everyone around them. If you have a friend who is an artist, expect the least of the expected form of gratitude as ‘thank you’ for being a part of their life through unlimited version of creations twirled with love. Because Artists brim with such exceptional traits of ardent, none of their relationships get mundane.

2) They have the zest to travel –

Whether traveling to a new country or locally, Artists have an innate lust to explore anything that inspire them to create an art piece. Any element from culture, food, music to a passerby could be an influence to them. Truth is that, artists are always looking out for their next muse and if you are one them, be lucky, this work might be her masterpiece.

3) World is their oyster –

Artists are blessed with the sense of freedom to decide the way they want the world to swirl around them each day. Irrespective the commitments and responsibilities, they live in a nest fenced by paints and brushes. At the same time, they have an open mind to discussions relating to topics from politics to entertainment.

4) Eye to observations –

If you happen to not observe how a ‘Touch -me -not plant’ wraps its arms around itself with just your delicate touch, consider polishing your observation skills through artistic eyes and you will not miss a thing. Artists have the eyes of a Mantis Shrimp; the spectrum of light, the colors, in fact; they might even use their aesthetic senses to hunch the murmurs of fireflies in a can.

5) Patience at its key –

The very first thing that people ask artists when they see their work is “how do you have so much patience”? A vital key to attain this trait is to simply just love what you do and you will spend hours and days doing what you love. It’s an artistically tested aspect that builds up over the years, although this does not mean we love to stand in queues for days, since procrastination is an art yet to be learnt by us. Painting is simply meditation to artists.

Allow an artist to wander on her own, sit under a tree or by a coffee table to draw, and she will teach you how you can enjoy and be constructive with your ‘Me-time’.

7) Great story tellers –

An artist’s theory extends much beyond reality. Due to this, an experience or an adventure forms a base to create their own memoir.

8) Obsession over work area

Artists will appreciate your opinion and suggestions on art but never a grumble over her work area. It’s a harsh truth to people who live with her, however the more chaotic the work area, you can expect no less than a gorgeous creation of cupola on canvas.

9) Love to socialize –

Artists are so content with what they do, sharing joys and talks with others is one of the ways to express their satiety.

  1. What a great list that is 100% accurate. It’s hard to explain an artist to those that aren’t one but this is perfect. Especially the love to travel, wander and be inspired by that which is around them. And patience. 🙂
