Ola Beautiful minds,

 About The Satori Saga

Welcome to the creative world. Whether you are planning to travel or just looking for inspiration, you’re at the right place. The Satori Saga is a tastefully blended website featuring travel illustrations, stories and all things travel. Suggestions on how you can traverse as a backpacker and a flashpacker; secret tips to planning a trip on a minimal budget yet luxurious. The blog not only tells a story through writing, but also  through illustrations to inspire artists or travellers or artist who are travellers like me.

This blog is not just our self-discovery, its a story told to everybody who reads them, to enlighten them, for we have got way too much to tell about the world we know so little about.

About the Author

Brought up in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, I have an innate desire to travel and draw as long as I can remember. My sheer passion for photography and documentaries has helped largely in making this website more exciting.

It was in 2011 I started writing the blog, it was a solo journey back then but today I have a travel partner who has a similar thrive to wander.

I believe when you  sense the intense joy of getting out of your comfort zone;appreciating nature and landscapes; facing your fears; spending the left-overs on airfare, seeking adventure in the wilderness; losing the map; inevitable struggles during travels – you learn to be resilient in real life.

This travel journey that I chose casts just about simple things  – a canon 700D and a tiny sketch book.

If you share a similar ‘nomad- hippie’  trait as me, we should connect.:). You can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Google +

  5. Hi Shilpa, thanks for taking the time to comment on my post about finding juicy burgers at the Salt food truck here in Abu Dhabi, I appreciate it. This blog looks amazing, looking forward to reading more. I have travelled quite extensively in the past also, still get itchy feet. I don’t think you ever get cured from wanderlust!

  6. I like the clean layout of the blog. I have a healthy respect for any one who can draw, being unable to make anything faintly resembling ‘art’ myself.

Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon. I am following your blog now, because I’ve liked how it is laid out and also how your photos and art complement the post.

  7. Thanks for liking my blog. I’m about to start a new series of posts about “Hidden Treasures,” hoping to draw on some of my travel adventures. Meanwhile I am enjoying looking at your evocative drawings of some of the places (like the stupa decked with prayer flags) that I think I have also seen.

  8. Hi Shilpa, nice to meet you. You’ve been to some wonderful places! I’d love to go to Abudhabi one day.

    Cheers, and happy travels,

I really enjoyed my visit in Abu Dhabi and the tasty local food, walking around the Corniche, and getting to know the malls! (LOL!)

Look forward to reading more on your blog.

    • Haha that’s is true. The malls are an experience by itself too . Corniche is great for winter strolls. I just stay about 10 minutes away from the corniche so it’s a walk from the walk. :)thanks for stopping by Susan and Wade 🙂
